ABOUT OUR CHAPTER
The San Juan Capistrano Chapter is one of 36 chapters of the California Dressage Society whose charter it is to promote and support the sport of dressage within the state of California. Our chapter is a non-profit group with over 200 members who live, train, and ride in Orange County, California (San Juan Capistrano and surrounding communities).
We are a very active chapter that hosts a number of shows, clinics, and events each year. Our members include riders of all levels including beginners, juniors, young riders, adult amatuers, and seasoned professionals. We welcome anyone with an interest in dressage and provide many opportunities to participate in our activities.

Kristin Young
Chair
Kristin is a long time dressage enthusiast and enjoys serving on the San Juan Chapter board as co-chair. Kristin also served on the CDS Executive Board for 6 years. She is in charge of chapter sponsored clinics, so if you have a great idea, she would love to hear about it and help make it happen.

Debi Brum
Volunteer Coordinator
Debi has been an active member of the San Juan Chapter while competing regularly with her two horses at shows throughout Southern California. Debi is excited to combine her passion for dressage and community as she takes on the role of Volunteer Coordinator for our Chapter.

Kathleen Fitzpatrick
Secretary
Kathleen has been riding most of her life, but didn’t start formal lessons until after college in the early 1990s. Dressage has been her passion ever since. Her current partner is an Andalusian mare named Sangria that has most recently taken her to RAAC and the USDF Championships. Kathleen is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist and is currently working on earning her Gold Medal. She is eager to help grow our chapter and is proud to serve as Co-Chair after holding the position of Secretary.

Kristina Huff
Social Media
After 20 years of riding, Kristina bought her first horse named Goose, and has been working to move up the levels in dressage ever since. Kristina is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist. She enjoys riding musical freestyles and going to brunch. Kristina is new to the Board and is looking forward to helping grow and develop the Chapter..
